My name is Ethan and I am a cyber security student with a background in law and media. I am passionate about advocating for data privacy, decentralised platforms and open-source alternatives.
The current media and tech landscape is evolving rapidly, and Big Tech companies are finding new ways to undermine the rights of consumers. As a result, regulators are failing to keep up with the pace of tech, instead implementing legal instruments that are both ineffective and counterproductive.
This blog started as a way for me to document my studies into IT and cyber security, but it is also my little corner of the internet where I can discuss pertinent tech issues, promote alternative options to Big Tech products, and build a community of like-minded nerds that want to build a better internet for everyone.
In my spare time, I’m watching movies, writing screenplays and wasting money on new cameras that I never get the time to use.
